Warm-up lesson

We pick you up and run a warm-up on the roads around your testing centre.

Into the test

Your instructor drives you to the centre, and you sit the test in our car.

Pass and you're on your way to your Ps. If not, we regroup and get you there.

Can I use my own car for the driving test?

You can, as long as it's registered and roadworthy. But many learners hire ours ($160) because it's dual-controlled, it's the car they've practised in, and they know it'll pass the pre-test check. One less thing to worry about on the day.

What happens if I don't pass?

No drama, it happens to plenty of good drivers. Your instructor talks you through exactly what tripped you up, you work on it together, and we get you ready for the next attempt. Because you've done a mock test, this is rare.

Do I book the test itself, or do you?

You book the official practical driving test with Transport and Main Roads (there's a government booking fee, around $69.75). We take care of everything around it, the warm-up lesson, the car, and getting you to the centre.

What's the difference between the test-day packages?

The test-day package ($220) pairs a warm-up lesson with our car for the test. The premium option ($295) adds extra warm-up time and support for learners who want maximum reassurance. A mock test ($93) is a practice run you'd usually do a little earlier.

Do I really need a mock test?

It's not compulsory, but it's the single best way to remove test nerves. A mock test runs you through the real assessment with an instructor, so you learn exactly how the examiner marks and nothing on the day is a surprise.
